Résumé
|
|
The story of a working-class family in Pittsburgh struggling to make it in the late 1980s. Timmy, the husband, has been out of work for over a year and is trying to maintain his sense of worth to his family and to a society where, it seems, he has no real value anymore. His wife, Pat, in whose unaffected and moving voice much of the story is told, must provide care for her developmentally damadged 12-year-old daughter while providing support and love for her husband and their younger daughter.
